Good grief! that was an unexpectedly enjoyable movie! Loved the music, and realised how old I am.

I also didn’t realise that so many albums was produced. Just watch the ending credits.. it shows all the album covers that was produced.

I’m glad and watched. Loved the updated “Witchdoctor song”! :)

Why don’t you be/get/do a REAL …..

This is someone who has the best intentions.

Why don’t you get a REAL job?

Why don’t you be a REAL man?

Why don’t you believe a REAL religion?

Why don’t you be a REAL woman?

Do you realise something? The word REAL is defined by them.

They are really saying.

Why don’t you get a job like that one I hate for 8 hours a day?

Why don’t you be have like a man who get screwed by others the whole day?

They are trying to limit who you are, and make you suffer as they do.

Screw them.  You know better. Go observe it and see what they really want.

Self cursing!

What?!?!? Why would anybody curse themselves?

Think about it, what is a curse? A curse  is anything that limits what you are or forces you to behave in a certain way. A fiction witch says, “You are a frog”, and you go around limited to croaking, hopping and eating flies.

Then what is that got to do with cursing yourself. Think about it again, when do you feel, “That is myself”. “That is me” “That behavior is what I believe in”. What is that? That is when you are familiar with something, when you are familiar with something, you are comfortable with it, when you are comfortable with it, you associate it with your inner core.  But is it really?

“I can’t be a sales person”, “I can’t learn computers”, “I can’t learn to cook”, “I love to exercise”, “I love to rollablade, skydive” whatever stuff.

Why do you like something or dislike something? Its because you’ve done it and it brough some pleasure to you. If the pleasure happens a few times, suddenly you are comfortable with it and thats what you love. Conversely if you don’t have a positive experience, like getting rejected, or no sales when you are doing sales, that what happens. You go I hate being a salesman.

Think again, what are you doing, you are looking at past history to determine what you like or dislike. YOU LIMIT YOURSELF but ONLY LOOK AT THE PAST!

Who are the sucessful people, they are people who do not look at their past, everything is new, everything is like being in a kindergarten, its new and with no expectation of anything.

Sometimes you don’t even think you limit yourself. If you look at a girl and say “She’ll never like an engineer. (assuming you’re an engineer), you didn’t curse her. You cursed yourself, you set a limit on what you expect, hence you never look for the signs that she might actually like you. You only behave and look for rejection.

Curse yourself?!? Yes you do, and practically everyday you do. A lot of recent spiritual teachers  are trying to teach people, stop placing limits on yourself, there are no limits only  those you create.

Who am I?

Your view on yourself:

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You like serious, smart and determined people. You don’t judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren’t necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people’s eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:

You are very serious about relationships and aren’t interested in wasting time with people you don’t really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

Your views on education

Education is less important than the real world out there, away from the classroom. Deep inside you want to start working, earning money and living on your own.

The right job for you:

You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don’t focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.

How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of:

You are afraid of having no one to rely on in times of trouble. You don’t ever want to be unable to take care of yourself. Independence is important to you.

Who is your true self:

You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

Quite true almost everything. Except the education part. Education to me is a world view changer. The more you learn, the more options the way you view the world.

Magick! Spells and wishes.

What makes a spell or a wish to use magic?

Its basically comprises of 3 parts, intent, focus and energy.

Intent part is basically what you want to achieve. The specific outcome or general outcome as specified. Focus is generally what you do to concentrate on the intent, it usually involves saying things over and over again, or chanting, or some form of ritual. Finally energy, most of the time, it comes from the person him/herself. The longer the ritual/focus the more energy is poured into the spell or wish.

Notice something familiar, prayer is precisely that as well, there is an intent, there is a focus, and the energy is provided by you.  Yes, Christians all over will be up in arms reading this, but it really is the situation. If you have the gift of spiritual sight you would be able to see, the energy imparted from a person in a blessing, a prayer. It looks like a small cloud of energy being whatever colour the intent is closest to moving from a person to the intended target.

Whether you are using voodoo, prayer, spells are require intent and focus. The more elaborate the  ritua/focus the stronger the energy. Basically, the longer you focus on the same intent the more energy is created. Thats why most prayers fail. The intent is there, the focus is there, but the intent keeps changing by the minute. One minute, you want this effect, one minute you want a variation of that effect. That’s why most prayers aren’t answered. Best way to get a prayer answered? Write it down, draw it out in pictures. The longer you put your mind to precisely the same thought the stronger the energy is created for it. The more people involved in it, having the same thought and feelings the stronger the energy to accomplish the effect. Thats why charismatic services usually have things happening, the singing, the chanting, the heavy music all focus the mind to create one or more effect, be it healing, or influencing people to believe gets greater.

Thats’ why Islam could be potentially more powerful then any other religion. All believers focus on Mecca, all the mental energy saying the same prayers through the world 5 times a day are accumulated in a single black square stone.  How can any other religion combine their prayers as effectively as they do? Christianity is so divided into so may groups each believing that theirs is the best. There is no unity sadly.

Convictions. Enemy of Truth?

An wise saying by Fredrick Nietzsche, “Convictions are more dangerous enemies of truth than lies”.

There are times, when I tire of people who hold convictions that “because they are xxxx (something they strongly believe in), they cannot be wrong and everybody else is wrong. ” I’ve been brought up to be a Catholic, the usual yada yada about the holy spirit being on us, will guide us to be do good and right things. Seriously over the years, I’ve begun to truly doubt that it does nothing but confuse the believers. Can you truly always act in the semblance of truth? Is true such that its always black and white?

Recently, I went to Sunday mass with my mom. We had a priest that was all brimstone and fire. I had a great amusing time listen to him commenting on this and that. He was commenting on why do the people who belong to various church organisation have petty jealousy, anger, dislike and many other negative emotions. Why do the people, who after mass, still go out and do such bad stuff if they say they believe in God.

The last time a priest tried that in my church, he had lots of people complain to the parish priest (head priest of the parish for those not knowing). I thought whoa betide this poor priest. I went home and later overheard my mom and her best friend commenting on the priest, in such that they agreed with some of the criticisms but thought that others were simply untrue. The fact is, all of it was true to varying degrees but they could not see it.

I believe that the people (I think its rather old people heavy, although we’re getting more young converts) totally believe that they have been good for a long time. How dare some upstart priest make comments on their exemplary behavior?!?! Privately I had a good laugh at their ignorance.

I’ve always said and learned the hard way, good intentions does not beget good works or good results. Most of the time, its actually more harming then good if thats the attitude of the people. I love the line sprouted by many people, “I have good intentions and the Holy Spirit guides my actions, I can’t do anything wrong!” Hahhaahahha always love it when they sprout just strong convictions of the righteousness. Don’t they realise that its precisely that sort of thinking that can sink ships and start wars?

The sad thing, its not only religious belief, sometimes, social or ideological beliefs that create such fervor. As Karl Marx once said, that the rich oppress the working class through, law, ideology and religion. I think thats true in so many levels. The strangest thing that I don’t see a religion teaching is the how do you do “this”? They always very clearly say, if you don’t do “This” you will be punished by God. This maybe some commandments which I call the “don’t do” instructions or the “love thy neighbour as yourself” the “do” instructions. The problem is that they never tell you how. How do you love thy neighbour, how do you forgive a person for hurting you, how do you begin to have universal love. I strongly suspect, they don’t know either!

Or worst still, they do know but won’t say because to do so, would make people realise that they can go to God direct and bypass all the religious organisations. What annoys me the most is that they almost universally say “Pray to God about it. Ask God to show you how.” Like we have eternity to wait for that. If God did answer someone, why don’t they tell the rest of the poor sobs like us?

Even worst, I think many people use these as blackmail tools to get what they want. For example, people would try to get others to do something, either by hinting or looking pointedly and disapprovingly at you (what they have no mouths to ask?) trying to get you to move or squeeze in the pews so that they can sit down. Or any situation that tries to make you feel guilty for not doing something that is suppose to be moral or ethical or religious. Yup I call it blackmail and I will never retract that.

Unfortunately, it happens with most people in general. Everyone is taught by the parents, you must get ahead in this competitive world. I think its kind of oxymoronic, don’t share your knowledge with others in case they do better then you. On the other hand, you must share your food, do charity for the poor. So what if the poor is the one may do better at studies. What is a kid suppose to understand out of this?
